Annoyances

Grrr...

The word "disc."

Why do we use that instead of "disk?"

Seriously!

  1. technically it derives from the latin 'discus'--spelled with a 'c'. so maybe the 'disk' version should really be the problematic one...

    The American spelling of the word is "disk." "Disc" is the British spelling. The computer industry uses "disc" for optical media and "disk" for magnetic media. Dumb. Kodak used "disc" for their ill-fated film format. Dumb as the format.
